Unveiling Sanlorenzo SL80A

Sanlorenzo has unveiled the SL80A, the latest addition to its historic SL range and the first 80-foot model to feature the shipyard's signature asymmetric architecture. Described as the "First Icon" of the range, the SL80A distils more than four decades of Sanlorenzo design into its purest expression, combining timeless elegance, architectural innovation and enhanced onboard liveability.

Measuring under 24 metres, the SL80A has been conceived to deliver the atmosphere and comfort of a significantly larger yacht while offering the versatility of a more compact platform. The model translates the defining characteristics of the SL range into a yacht that prioritises generous volumes, refined detailing and an effortless connection with the sea.

Designed by Zuccon International Project, the SL80A further evolves Sanlorenzo's asymmetric concept, first introduced in 2018. By relocating the side deck to starboard, the layout expands the interior living space by up to 20%, creating a brighter, more open main deck while preserving the yacht's balanced proportions. Accommodation comprises four guest cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite, while expansive glazing, warm Thai walnut finishes and bespoke architectural details create an elegant, contemporary atmosphere throughout.

For Tommaso Vincenzi, CEO of Sanlorenzo, the new model is far more than a smaller addition to the range. "SL80A represents the essence of our philosophy," he explains. "It is not a simplified version of a larger yacht, but a synthesis of the experience we have built over decades with the SL line." He adds that the yacht has been designed to offer the same level of comfort, quality and design expected of larger Sanlorenzo models, while creating a more immediate and versatile experience on the water for a new generation of owners.

The design philosophy is echoed by Bernardo Zuccon of Zuccon International Project, who notes that every proportion and architectural gesture was carefully considered to preserve the unmistakable identity of the SL range. "Every connection between spaces was designed to create a sense of balance, openness and harmony on board," he says, describing the SL80A as a yacht conceived around conviviality and life at sea while remaining instantly recognisable as a true Sanlorenzo.

With the SL80A, Sanlorenzo continues the evolution of one of the industry's most recognisable model ranges, translating the architectural intelligence, liveability and timeless elegance of the SL line into its most compact and refined form to date.
